We need to find out if it has a wiper speed switch or a MCOR speed switch which is a black box located on the right side of the frame with some wires in a loom going to it.The wiper switch would be a pie slice shaped box on the frame between the batteries on the drivers side under the seat.

It has a MCOR switch. It looks to me like the pedal has the full range of motion.

thats kinda slow for that car. your switch might not be opening all the way,or your batteries might be a little weak.

Thanks golfcartfixer. I charged the batteries for 8 hrs. yesterday but the charger never shutoff. I'll check the SG and voltage and post it. It has 6 8 volt batteries. Can I pull the cover on the switch to make sure that it is opening all the way?

Sounds like a worn drive bar for the MCOR. Measure from the back of the accel pedal to the floormat directly behind it in a straight line. It should be an even 6 inches. If not, the pedal height can be adjusted easily. You should have approximately 1 inch of movement before the MCOR "Clicks" If it's more than an inch the drive bar is worn. This can be corrected by replacing the drive bar, or removing it and installing a small piece of rubber 1/4" fuel hose over the forward-most part of the accel fork of the drive bar. Keep in mind though that this vehicle is only designed to run about 12-13 miles per hour. They're naturally just slow.

The battery voltage is:
#1 8.3
#2 8.2
#3 8.2
#4 8.2
#5 8.2
#6 8.2

I am going to use the cart in the pits at the races. I need to get 20mph out of it so I won't get run over. What is your suggestions for achieving 20mph out of my cart?

Thanks Darrell

A motor and controller upgrade. There are many different options out there that would suffice.

Will I pick up any speed just by changing the controller? What is your opinion of a Logisystems 480 or 700 amp controller? They seem to be priced right.

Maybe a little... Speed is mainly gained with a motor change. Working for an Authorized Dealer, I have absolutely zero experience with almost anything aftermarket. I'd check with the site sponsors about the aftermarket controllers and motors.

Thanks for your help TahoeDawgZ71. Anyone with advice on a motor upgrade? I am not looking to break any speed records just a cost effective way to go 20 mph.
