Exclamation dead spot in throttle

I have a 2000.5 ds 48v, 500 amp alltrax controller, d380 motor, heavy duty f-n-r. I have replaced resistors in vglide. The throttle works ok from 0 to 40% but it jumps from 40% to 100% with nothing in between

Have you tried doing a resistance check on each step of the v-glide ??Dave

Also check internal V Glide contacts as I have found that any corrosion on contacts ( must be shiney bright ) or a weak spring on wiper arm, or the brush itself can cause the same problem. The contacts on earlier models where it was passing high pack voltage to resistors bank kept themselves pretty clean, but in this case I find small amounts of corrosion looses contact very easily? I have found several resistors on back of V glide burned through or cracked and not making contact so as DAVET says check for resistance at each resistors.

Thanks for the help but I'm going to order curtis pb-6 tomorrow and hopefully fix it for good. Even after taking all the resistors out checking all and replacing two of them cleaning all connections and repairing some improper wiring I still have the same problem.

Good solution to your problem but be sure and check on your Alltrax controller for correct input for the PB-6 which is 0-5 ohms and with V glide you might possibly have controller set for 0-5 ohms?

Just got it mounted yesterday evening. I found it you lengthen the throw of the peddal it will work through the whole range without fabing extra linkages.
