I use those very voltmeter's (the above mentioned cheap chinese) and they are fantastic. When wired to the ignition on, they have a good lifespan and are usually accurate within .1V. They have blue, red, green, yellow colors and you can get them via ebay from an American seller for about $15.....or from China and wait a month for $8. As mentioned, make sure you get the two wire. I mistakenly ordered some 4 wire ones and they simply would not work on a 36V cart. Read up to 32 and over 42 but between 32-42 it refused to work

Thanks for the heads up on the wires and ignition switch, sounds like a smart way to go.

My only concern is the cheap ones on E-bay are always pictured in a darken room. Makes me wonder if you can read them in the daylight. That's one reason to buy from a cart shop that uses what they sell.

You can read them very easily on a bright day. You can see them 100 yards away at night, and read it that far away if your vision is good enough. I use them all the time
