Powerdrive charger
I am converting old series cart to 48 volts and found a Powerdrive 48V 17amp Charger #22110 it has 3 wire DC plug. Can I use this as an automatic charger to charge 2 wire DC cart?
or should I bite the bullet and buy a new Automatic charger/ maintainer Thanks Barry Power Drive II Last edited by BLakeside; 10-20-2010 at 04:52 PM.. Reason: Correction |

Re: Powerdrive charger
Any of the club Car 48v chargers are not stand alone units...... they need the OBC to tell them what to do. You need a regular 48v charger...

Re: Powerdrive charger
Thanks Scottyb I thought that was the case but I was hoping you would say just (XYZ) and it will work great. The price was right. I would of searched the forum but the deal might fall through if I waited.

Re: Powerdrive charger
Scotty's right.... You could probably install a charger in there somewhere, but the case on that model charger is pretty small. You'd be better off selling it and getting another one.
