How do I know if I have a G8 or a G9. My buddy gave it to my son for me to tow his JR Drag racer back to the pits.

Tshaw, go to my signature album "Mike Mac" I have a G8 with a G16 body, but look at the chassis on mine. It has a 3 link rear suspension.
Go find "The New Guy", he has a G9. Check out his album, nice car.

Or post a picture of yours!

If its a G8, the serial number is on the seat frame (inside), between the battery and the solenoid. Check the serial number against this list: http://www.golfcarttirestore.com/yamserial.htm

If its a G9, more than likely, the serial will be located inside the seat frame on the drivers side.
