48 volt motor swap
I have a 1995 club car that the motor studs have broken off. It is 48 volt with an alltrax 400 amp controller. 4 ga wiring also. has anyone ran a 36 volt motor in this type set-up? I heard it will increase speed and torque over a 48 volt motor? let me know what you think?

Re: 48 volt motor swap
Do you have the motor you are wanting to replace it with? If not send it into on of the sponsors Plum quick and tell them what you have and what you would like out of it and they can build it to your needs

Re: 48 volt motor swap
I'm running my 91' 36v motor with all the same upgrades but have a 500 amp Alltrax and it runs just fine. Been somewhere around 1 1/2 years since the upgrade to 48v and still jamming along.

gsf35099 I think you were the Ginnie Pig for this brainstorm. I am glad to hear that your motor is still running fine on 48v.

Having everything converted and solid state is plain KICK-BUTT.. The frame stays clean and with a little maintenance my batt's and inside area look brand new.. |
