D and D motor eliminates regen
OK this is somewhere around the fourth thread ive started today. I appologize for my excessive questioning. I found a motor for my 99 CC Regen2 from D and D(170-502-0002) that says it eliminates the regen. If the Regen motor is not good for low speeds bc of heat build up, does this mean it corrects that?

Re: D and D motor eliminates regen
if they say it eliminates it one would think its just no longer gonna work at all? but you might want to talk to them about any negitive effect it might have on the cart or speed system........................

Re: D and D motor eliminates regen
hmmm..that d and d says it could add 80% torque but you actually lose 1mph thats with a 600amp controller. of course we're talking the difference of a few hundred and a bit over a grand...i think i may go with a rebuild. ill upgrade in a couple of years. anyone ever heard of "electrical motor products"? they rebuild too but, like all businesses, they say they do better than anyone.

Re: D and D motor eliminates regen
oh i'm definately going with PQ. everyone on here stands by them, and there seems to be a lot of very knowlegable guys on here. I just hope they repaint it one of those fancy colors while they're at it. ..btw, what are your recommendations for controller with that rebuild? DCX400?

They will paint it
4 or 500 depending upon what mods you plan. What loads you will carry and what terrain and footing you will run in.... |
