612 plus shipping, for the lift and frame tool, thats a lot of loot and you still have a spindle lift, granted it may be better than a regular spindle lift, for not much more you could have a quality independant

You do realize the lift you linked to requires you to cut both main frame rails, right?

Sure do, I posted the link to show that. I don't know why you would want to go with the factory lift and having to cut up the frame

can you please elaborate? I don't understand why you would reccommend a lift kit that would require you to cut the main frame rails?

Several reasons..... You retain all factory front end components for one thing. All steering geometry will stay the same. No long spindles to increase leverage when there is an impact. It also allows you plenty of options when and if you do have to replace front end components. It's all factory still. You don't have to buy replacement parts specifically for the lift kit. In the rear, it uses long shackles instead of a spring over design, which allows plenty of room for the brake cables to work. Lots of spring over kits will bind the brake cables and will cause the pedal to pulse while braking. Overall, the factory kit provides far less body roll, and drives much better than any other kit out there. That's the reason it's the only design approved by Club Car to meet their factory standards for safety. I've been cutting frames for 10 years now and have yet to have a customer come back because they were unhappy.

First, I am new to this forum . . . what type/size "cut" is required to frame for factory lift kit install?

Technically you could go back, you'd have to fabricate some flat pieces of steel with the same bolt patten of the Z-plates, minus the bend.
