I don't know what the hp is on the stock motor, as i bought mine with a Commander high performance motor. What I do know is that there are some great people on this site that have all the answers! I also know you can modify the stock motor (about $100.00) and get it to go about around 20 mph. Any cart shop can do it for ya.

I have a 2007 Precedent that I just put a 6" lift, 12" wheels and 23" tires. It drives and runs excellent. I don't notice any difference in take off torque even up a pretty steep incline. I'm very happy with the performance and the looks!

IQ systems have one "extra" level of power that is "off" by default . . . taking it to a dealer, the $100 or so fee is to purchase the code from CC that the dealer can use to program the IQ system to provide the "extra" power level . . . don't know if the code is unit specific or generic, but one would still need the programmer, which I am sure is not readily available on the open market . .

Looks great. I love Atlantic Blue. We've been building quite a few Precedents that color lately.

I too have an 06 CC Precedent and it has a 6" lift, 12" wheels, and 22" tires and it goes 18.9 mph and it's only set at level 3 speed. The bigger tires and wheels will actually make it go faster. I'm in the process of TRYING to take the old motor off and put on a PQ Bandit. It then should go around 25+ mph.
See my other thread "Motor Won't Slide Off" to learn some more. You can also check out my pics in my profile and take a look at Scubabuds Precedent.
Be warned it's addicting and the wife may not like all the expenses.

Thanks guys for all the help. I ended up picking up a 2007 Precedent. I cant wait to get started customizing it. If anyone has any advise on good prices for tires, wheels, lifts, and lights, I would appreciate any advise. Thanks again.

I have 20X10 Sahara Classics and I find they ride noisy and somewhat rough. I go off road about 20% of the time and find they ride better off road than on road. I will be looking for some type of hybrid tire that will give me a smoother ride when the Saharas wear down.

I would advise you to buy DOT rated wheels and tires. They will be much better for a cart the goes faster than 15mph and is driven on roads/sidewalks.

My Saharas are DOT rated, but the ride doesn't impress me.

Good luck
