Wheels / Tires for a 3" Lift
What does everyone think about options for this lift? It's a Jakes 3" Spindle kit. I have not installed it quite yet as I want to get wheels ordered up first. This is for a street use only cart, no off road riding so I don't want big knobby tires.
I was thinking 205/30/12's. Think this will look good? Or maybe a 215/35? Also, I assume I want a 3 x 4 offset wheel with a standard 4 on 4 bolt? How about a 2 x 5 offset? Been looking at the combo wheel/tires kits Trademark Cart's offers. Can't get my head around all the different offsets offered on different packages. Thanks |

Re: Wheels / Tires for a 3" Lift
I think there is going to be a lot of space in the wheel wells with a 3 inch lift kits and the tires you want to use. Are you trying to make it handle better and fill up the wheel wells? Have you looked at a larger street tire for the cart with the 3 inch lift kit? I'm thinking of installing a 3 Jakes Lift kit with 22 inch tires on my cart. I'll be using 12x7 wheels with a 2-5 offset.

Re: Wheels / Tires for a 3" Lift
I've got 23" tires on 12" wheels with a 6" lift. Not a lot of room left. Are you sure you can get 22"s on a 3" lift? My old cart had a 3" lift and I think it had 20" tires on it. 22" is actually the size Jakes recommends for a 6" lift. I just squeezed the 23's in there.

So, now that I know I need 20" tires I can't find any for a 12" wheel that are not trail tires. I really want a street/turf tire. The search continues. Thanks for all the advice. |

Re: Wheels / Tires for a 3" Lift
Makes sense. What about a 10" wheel with 20" street tires? I didn't even pay attention to the brand of tire but the dealer that is just outside the campground we go to appears to use a lot of that combination on the carts he sells. The tires he uses appear to be more of a turf tire, though, than a street/car tire. They look good in my opinion, though.
