Default Specifications please??

1997 Yamaha G16
Can't find a "cheap" book and don't see in the owner's manual.

1. What is the air gap between the TCI (magneto) and the flywheel? Some say matchbook cover or business card. They vary in thickness. In my former life, I was a toolmaker so please tell me in .000" or .00mm

2. What should the compression test results be? (high--low; wet--dry)

I am really impressed with the good advice that is freely given on this board.
Thanks, Joe

Joe, the owners manual is the 12th sticky down. It may have that info. there.
If not, then I'd shoot for about .040. But being honest, I have no idea!

Same on compression. Maybe about 165 to 175 is said to be good. (4 strokes throttle wide open).

I have a different motor.

TCI airgap is 0.3-0.5mm /(0.012-0.020 in). I do use a match book cover, just to hard to get feeler gauges in with the space limits and the flywheel magnet. Good luck
