Unhappy Battery state of charge meter

Hi guys and girls,

I have a 96 36V EZGO electric club car and i wired up a state of charger meter. I ran one wire NEG from last battery to meter and another wire from POS of first battery through a toggle switch. I used the car until the meter showed the batteries were empty so i charged them up but the state of charge meter still shows them flat but when tested with a voltmeter they are full. Do you need to reset these meters if so how.

Sounds like you have a defective meter. Is it digital, or analog?

That sounds like the one I have, If not hard wired and on all the time, it does need to be reset, I'm just not sure how... Mine is hard wired. Try disconnect and hook it back up.

Mines hardwired but through a switch so you turn a toggle switch on for it to work.

If you want to reset it, try fully charging the pack and then disconnect the wire from the pack to the meter/switch and wait a minute and then reconnect it
