Default Wiring ezgo plug to Lester charger

Hello, My ezgo charger burned up a while back and I just bought a deal in a lester E series automatic charger, however it came with an anderson 50 amp plug on it. I need to put my easy go plug on it but it has three wires and the lester cable only has 2 wires, Im assuming that the green wire is a safety switch but I just want some confirmation before I cut the plug off the lester.

WHat im asking is if I wire the lester black and white on my ezgo plug where the balck and white was coming from old charger will it work?

thanks JB

Im assuming this is a 48v cart with a triangular plug? If so then Yes, wire it up without the green wire. It is a battery "sense" wire that the powerwise charger uses and the lester charger does not need it to function.

It's a 36 volt,... My Ezgo has black white and green with the green going to like a spring like connection off the black wire inside the plug

I didn't realize the 36v had 3 wires, I'm still gonna say that you do not need the green wire hooked up

Just connect the White and Black wires to the main terminals in the plug.

The the third wire was the battery sense wire to the Auxiliary contact.
The Lester senses the carts battery pack voltage internally.
They came with two or three wire output cables.

Attached are generic schematics of both arrangements
