36v with 48volts
I just purchased a restored 1984 ezgo textron electric cart. The cart has 8volt batteries but has a 36v motor. The problem is you cant give it partial pedal without the resisters overheating. The batteries are new, clean, 4guage cables. I want to fix this the right way. Any assistance on what works the best would be fantastic. Also im going to get a good charger. Any recommendations?

You have to either replace all the 8v batteries with 6v batteries or upgrade your resisters to an electronic controller.

What size controller you use depends upon many factors like, tire size, number of passengers, terrain and such. The whole system must be balanced larger controller will need larger solenoid and cables .... what you need depends upon what you want the cart to do. |
