Ha, I would have loved to hear the court proceeding argument about gps speed.

I will check and get the exact height of my tires.

Once you get the V/100A, you expect a drop of 2.5v/100A as optimal performance?
2.5V/100A for a 48V system is somewhat of an unobtainable goal for most of us.
As mentioned, the batteries in a 48V pack, in and of themselves, will drop about 1.5V/100A
Your SW180 solenoid's contacts will drop about 0.030V/100A
Your XCT controller will drop about 0.180V/100A
A PDS cart with a 6x8V 48V pack has about 18" of high current cable and 18' of 4Ga copper drops 0.447V/100A.
That adds up to 2.157V/100A, but does not include 40 interfaces. Twenty of those are between the 10 cable's copper conductor and the crimped on or soldered on end lugs. There is a lot of resistance there - see attachments.
The other twenty are the interfaces between the cable's end lugs and the carious terminals they connect to. There is also a lot of resistance there - see attachments.

All we can do is try to identify choke points and do what we can to mitigate the unwanted resistance.

So, what would be a realistic goal with a 4 year old (fully charged) battery pack be? 3-4v/100A drop?
I assume the age of the battery would make a difference too.

A four year old 48V battery pack will most likely drop more the 1.5V/100A.

There are so many variables that it is next to impossible to guess a good number for your cart or anybody else's cart.

When my batteries and 2Ga cables were fairly new, the best I could do was about 3.0V/100A. I haven't checked lately, but I'd guess it has climbed to 3.5V or 4.0V, maybe more.

In a nutshell, you get what you get and you try to make it better.

Still playing around with the cart, but I haven't messed with the toolkit lately. I have adjusted the throttle % down to I believe 18% to lower the abrupt start. Honestly, the start isn't where it is abrupt. It will start fairly modestly, but from 3-4 mph to 8-10 mph there is a fairly rough jerk even when the accelerator is pressed as easily as I can. Would this be controlled with the throttle linearization curve? If so, is it something that just needs to be tinkered with until you find your own personal liking?
Thanks again.
