Default '96 to '97 wiring harness compatibility

I have a 96 DS, 48 (volt series), runs well, but frame damage. I have a 97 DS (48v sepex regen) with a good chasis, bad controller.

If I were to move the motor and controller, switch, etc., from the 96 DS to the 97 DS chasis, would I have to also move the wiring harness or could I simply use the harness that is already on the 97?

You would move everything including the OBC and wire harnesses.

So the OBC on the 97 is different than the 96. I am glad I asked as I probably would not have swapped them, LOL.

I thought since the 89-03 wiring diagram was the same, it might work.

The swap is from Sepex to series. Everything goes except the V glide and key switch
