i use a 5x8 but i had to modify the tailgate. lengthwise 8' is gonna be too short.

5 feet wide would be the minimum, [6' is better], for stability as mentioned
 , but also for backing up. Not sure what you are pulling it with but being able to see it behind you BEFORE it is turned beyond recovery makes it a lot easier. You don't want to look like a tool that needs Ford's backup assist to park a little utility trailer! Just lookin' out for a fellow Canuk . |
