Default New Batteries

Guys...I’m throwing up a white flag. I have searched all over the web and even created a new email acct so I can see the images on here for some self help. I’m clueless

I just bought a Club Car DS (serial # A9103234750).

The previous owner had (3) 12v batteries in it. I just went and bought (6) 6v batteries to have the “proper” power.

I’m stumped on how to connect the cart to the batteries.

I have 1 black wire coming from the motor at the rear of the cart.

I have 1 green wire and 1 black wire coming from the forward/reverse switch.

I have 1 white wire coming from the charging receptacle.

I have no idea where to connect these wires. I have it a shot and the cart would only run in reverse...then I switched them around and it wouldn’t run I’m forward or reverse.

I’m stumped and need some serious help...any and all help is GREATLY appreciated...

Nole, thank you for the response. I did look at the sticky, however none of the colors in those wiring diagram seems to match up with what I am looking at in my cart. I am completely stumped.

Now I am lost. Can you post a picture of it. (your post count may not be high enough yet)

And is it a resistor cart or a controller cart?

I don’t think it is, but I’ll do my best to describe...and I believe it is a resistor cart

From the f/r switch, I have a green wire and a back wire.

From the charger plug receptacle, I have 1 thin white wire.

From the motor I have 1 black wire

I can’t seem to find a wiring diagram with these same colors and I am lost haha

Don't try to match the color of the wires. Just follow them from where they are to where they should connect.

This should be the diagram if it's a 36v resistor cart

Did you draw a diagram before you took out the 3 twelve volt batteries. I'm thinking all three of these wires will connect to the batteries. So start with the small white wire and see if it connects to the pos or neg at the charger plug. if it's the pos connection connect to Main pos battery connection. Now trace the big black wire back and tell us exactly where it connects like to S1,S2,A1 or A2.

The OP is not providing enough information to help. From his descriptions it sounds like he’s got 1 wire connected to the motor, 2 wires coming from the F-R switch, and 1 wire from charging port.

OP needs to read the wiring diagram and make sure he has a wire of any color connected to and from the correct spots on the cart wiring diagram. The OP is stuck on wire colors on a cart that was modified and likely no longer has stock wire colors.

The diagram handtools posted should get him there. Even if a different color, the landing/termination points should be easily located now. (I hope! )
