not automatically, the only thing the obc does is control the charger

It won't shut off so if left unattended it will cook the batteries...

Look in the Club Car Electric section. There is a great deal of info in the "Stickies."

ok, here is the deal on the obc bypass. I put new batteries in my cart, it is 2008 precedent. it ran great for the first 2 times out, then it would only go for a few holes and started running very slow and I barely made it back to cart shed. I charged it and same thing the next time only ran for about 10 minutes then went dead again. So I tried another guys charger and the same results with it. So I read online that it could be a bad OBC so I bypassed it this morning hoping it would charge the batteries. Had a friend go and check an hour later and charger was cut off. he plugged in again and it ran for a short time and cut off again? So now I am lost and don't know what is wrong?

See if you put one of the new batteries in backwards - all batteries need to be wired pos to neg to pos to neg to pos etc.

Also, you may have put the red lead from the charger socket on the wrong battery. Measure voltage inside your charging socket to see if you can read full pack voltage 48-50v, or if you seem to be short by 8 volts.

When someone replaces their batteries, these are the two most common issues.
