Re: Got some issues with a cart but first need help in identifying exactly what type
It is a 2000 DS Electric Cart (It could be 36, 48, Regen, etc.)
Count the batteries and cells to know volts. Look for a pigtail off the motor (speed sensor) and a on Regen 2's a Run/Tow switch Hopefully it is just a 48v series cart. |

I believe that would be a 2000 DS Electric (built the 39th week of 2000).

It’s a 48 volt...is it a power drive?

Look for a pigtail off the motor (speed sensor) and a on Regen 2's a Run/Tow switch. It is not a regen 1 as it would have the t=type controller and they were gone by 2000

Re: Got some issues with a cart but first need help in identifying exactly what type
48 Volt CC DS made in the 39th week of the year 2000. Your cart was made 7 weeks after my cart. My DS was a Regen 2 model that also had issues. David Hicks owner of Revolution Golf Cars, site sponsor will be your best route to figure out what you need to do. David converted my cart to an IQ cart and my problems went away and the best move for me. Good Luck!

It is a Series cart, You can tell by the Controller not having a "multi-pin" interface connector.
That Solenoid looks pretty caked-up. |

Re: Got some issues with a cart but first need help in identifying exactly what type
Yeah it’s a little rough for sure..it’s dead in the water at the moment with 49.8 pack voltage...thinking it may be another OBC issue because it’s not charging either....do the OBC’s also affect these carts in the same ways they affect the IQ carts?

The Neg for the solenoid comes from the OBC.
