I have heard that from several sources. I really think that could be the problem. Might be shorting to ground and the reason for low voltage at the coil.

So it was a long laundry list but essentially had a bad pulser and igniter. Link to a picture of the invoice above.

How did they determine the igniter and pulsar were bad? Going through the same thing right now.

Do your due search correctly. All the information you need is on this forum very well documented.
Put volt meter set on a low AC volt range and disconnect pulser. Place meter leads across pulser wires and crank engine. You should see around 1/2 a volt. Pulser is good. Check all other components and if all good, the igniter is likely bad. The igniters cannot be tested except by substitution.
