Thumbs down G16A oil light problem

Hello, I am net to the forum so I hope I am posting this correctly. I have a 1999 G16A cart with an oil light problem. When the cart is first started and cold the oil light comes on at about 1/4 throttle. Once it warms up everything is fine, you can run wide open with no problem. The oil level is correct. I have tried different weight oils (30, 5w-30, 10w-40) with no difference noticed. Any ideas as to the problem, could it be the sensor? What type pump does this motor have, is it a pump or a slinger?

The engine has a splash system. It may just be a bad sensor or connection to the sensor. I've never ran across this myself. With it just doing this when cold, I am kindof led to believe there possibly could be an oil flow problem. May pull the sensor and inspect it. It could also be a fact that it is cold and at very low rpm the oil is not flowing well.

Thanks for the info. One thing, the light does bot come on at low RPM but at above half speed. Also does the sensor screw out of the engine or how does it come out?
