btw I recommend that touch display that comes with this battery. No smart phone or shunt meter needed. It looks like a lot of companies are starting to use this display (Vatrer, Cloud Energy, etc), which I suspect use the same BMS.

The Reuter looks pretty good, not so far off from how I would build one. EVE prismatic cells/JDB BMS
(but why do they place the + - terminals so close together?)
Display and charger comes to $1600, in that middle ground.

I came close to ordering a CHINS but I believe they are all pouch cells now? I really want something I can fix if vendor wimps out.

I probably would have gotten one of these if I had known about them. Would have saved me the ordeal of putting lithium in a 4x12V Precedent.

I put the 53v 100ah CHINS battery in my wife's TXT48 yesterday. Replaced a Eco 51v 72ah battery that will go into a shop cart used for drive system research. This poor little DS changes drives systems twice a yr . ANyway it doesn't venture far from home so the 72ah is a good fit.

So the CHINS was heavy, 87 pounds, 90# if you count the charger. My old back required a forklift R&R, see pic. Connection was straight forward. Fitment was not. As many of you know the TXT battery tray is 10 1/4 inch wide, same as the battery. But the tray has 2 holddown attachments that fall between the LA batteries. It was required to cut these out and grind the edge smooth for the big battery. Plus I added a 10 1/4 inch L metal cross brace to stop the battery from sliding side to side.
Not a biggie for me but a modification that not everyone may be able to do or want to do.
Next issue the monitor gauge. Looks like it has all the needed info but the font is silly small and there is a tech note explaining the gauge is for indoor not outdoor use. The gauge wires are 6 inches long... so instead of running my own 4 wires to the dash I mounted it on top of the battery as this is an outdoor cart 24/7 365. Under the seat is the only dry place. I put my usual CU volt meter in the dash for daily observation.
Cart runs great. Alltrax 400 and FSIP torque motor have been in it for years.
Cost was under $1k on sale.
Will update when possible.

Eventually people will be buying replacement lithium and not need gauges and chargers. Interesting to see if battery only options change market. Lithium is all ready coming down to price of some FLA batts.

CU is Carts Unlimited. The meter is a simple waterproof digital LED voltmeter that can be used on any cart here > https://www.cartsunlimited.net/led-battery-meters.html
