Bombardier NEV - Batteries, Yuck
Hi all, new to this site and specifically the Bombardier NEV. I've had my green/white 1999 Sport-E for about 6 years now and it is time to change the batteries. This appears to be a difficult task as described in the maintenance manual. Since I don't have a fork lift, I'm looking for ideas from this forum. I'm sure many of you have worked this so any ideas on how to remove the battery tray would be helpful. For now, I was thinking about using my motorcycle lift under the Bomb to raise it, then put the wheels/axle on jack stands, remove the hardware and slowly let the lift down. Since the lift is on wheels, it might be easy to then roll it out. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any ideas. Lonzo |
