Open the V glide - I bet it's burnt too

Maybe the cart was free because it needs a new amperage delivery system and batteries.
I will open up the v glide and see what it looks like. I will also ohm out the resistor coils and see what the look like.

Is there a standard for the resistor coil ohms?

Looking at the cart it appears one of the batteries caught fire. I'm assuming some dead grass was on top of it. I will check over the rest of the electrical system tonight and see what it looks like.

Just out of curiosity what does 6 6volt golf cart batteries run? I know it will vary by brand and quality but just roughly.

Thanks
Dave

Since you're gonna need a lotta new stuff, go 48 volt!!! That 36 volt motor will run well on it and you'll love the extra speed and torque. Look at Scottyb's site for the cables, controller, etc. that you'll need, since you're at the point of needing to buy batteries going to 48 volt now will be a VERY good way to spend your $.
