Help w/ frankencart id
I bought this cart from a river outfitter not running, With the info from this site it has turned out to be a super reliable cart that I used all season long.
wouldn't start - brushes - carb - fuel pump wouldn't charge - black wire from motor was not connected, then it was charging @ 17 volts, - adjusted regulator when I bought the carb I ordered for a g2, worked perfect, So I was digging around today and saw the tag behind the seat, So bottom line is: is the engine and rear end g2? any help would be great thanks in advance |

Re: Help w/ frankencart id
Probably a G14--it had the same body as the G16, but the engine/axle of a G2-9.

Re: Help w/ frankencart id
I hear you Dave, but a G14 would have the gas tank on the driverside. That looks like a G16 gas tank? And the air box is G2 thru G8. Could someone have grafted in a G2 thur G8 into a G16?

Re: Help w/ frankencart id
Thanks guys for the input,
Crash, thanks for the diagram, But I cant find a tag anywhere, I paid $500 for the cart and have certainly got my $$$ worth. I just want to freshen her up over the winter and get ready for next season. I found the wires for the low oil light zip tied around the bottom. Im just trying to figure out what chassis it is. again thanks for the help |

Re: Help w/ frankencart id
Dang, this guy is good! A G14 airbox is like a G1 airbox, but with a hose to the body for air intake. This thing is totally a "mutt" made from different stuff. Look on back of motor, just below exhaust for motor id and motor size, will be 285cc for "G2/G9" motor, 301cc for "G14" motor. The body sticker is totally wrong, a G16E is a Electric cart. Bodies can swap easily, thats why the SN isnt there....
