Default basic speed upgrade information

basic speed upgrade information -

i started out with a stock 2006 48v 4 battery cc iq ds straight from the golf course, with the addition of a really heavy flip flop back seat, that gps’d a whole 8 mph. sloooowwwww......

first speed mod - speed code 3 set me at 13-14 mph (not enough) everything stock.

not enough because my buddy bought a 2005 48v 6 battery cc iq ds set on speed code 4 with 22” all trails and spindle lift and gps’d at 17-18 mph, possibly could’ve hit 19 on smooth pavement. (cart drifts side to side quite a bit at top speed btw)

second speed upgrade - speed code 4 set me at 17.5 mph (i was disappointed to say the least) everything stock still

third speed upgrade - all sports 6” a-arm lift & 23” all trails, 4 gauge cables between batteries and to the motor & controller - full charge got me to 21-22 mph, 23.6 mph top speed with an ever so slight downhill run (cart barely drifts side to side - drives good solid and straight with the a-arm lift)

fast enough for me - that’s scootin’ on a golf cart

All you need now is a IQ PlumQuick motor to give you another 5 MPH.

Adjust your tow-in to approx. 1/4 inch total,1/8 inch in on each side to stop the drifting, old school drag racing set-up, works great on my carts, good luck, Geno
