Moving Air Intake?
Our golf course here is always dry and dirty. I talked to a few guys that switched from gas to electric because they said that the dirt was eating the engines. The air filter is down next to the ground so I thought I would extend it up and out behind the seat. Comments? Anyone see any problems with this? All comments/suggestions welcomed!

Re: Moving Air Intake?
If dirt is a problem for gas engines, I would assume it would be an even greater problem for an electric motor. I don't know anything about electric golf carts, but electric motors are air cooled and don't have any filters on the air intakes. Is this the same for electric motors in golf carts?

Re: Moving Air Intake?
you can see my air intake in this photo, just behind where the passenger's legs would be
not sure what it is, was there when i purchased it. there is a flexible plastic pipe from there to the intake |

Re: Moving Air Intake?
I just put a washable K&N filter right on the carb. It was a little expensive but its suppose to be the best for dusty roads I plan to run on alot.
