Regen 2 speed increase
Hi, first of all I would like to thank everyone who posts all this info it is very helpful as I am a new owner of a 2001 regen 2 cart.
I am only getting about 13 mph but would like to add speed and a little torque. I read a lot about iq and series but would like to know the best way to get 22 or more mph in my cart. I have looked at plumquicks site and are waiting to hear from them and saw some upgrades on evdrives.com does anyone have any opinions on those companies. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help |

I initially just put in a motor, I am running an Admiral MOT-A2, then added the controller and such for torque. Plumquick motors are great as well, will give you great speed by doing nothing else than changing the motor, but you will have limited torque, the Plumquick will get rid of the regen function as well. With my current setup I tow carts easily when they break down as I service carts as well. I've been down this road entirely so if you questions feel free to PM me. There is mine from the day I bought till now http://good-times.webshots.com/slide...69126026rWriOE |

Re: Regen 2 speed increase
Hi Cheapjeep,
Thanks a lot for the response, you really helped me decided what I need. One more question, did you have to put a lift kit on it or did you just add larger wheels and tires? I am reading that for some aftermarket motors a lift kit is needed to accommodate a longer motor? Thanks again, Sam |

Re: Regen 2 speed increase
No lift or bigger tires, but I am running a 10 inch wheel instead of 8 and a 205/50-10 tire.
