Post 2003 G22E Rebuild - New owner!

Greetings all! I am a new owner of a 2003 Yamaha G22E! I've never owned a cart and don't golf! My wife and I bought this to tour campgrounds with our children and granchildren. My first project is new batteries and cables. I've purchased a set of 4 guage cables for the battery connections. What other cables will I need to upgrade to 4 guage? I am toying with the idea of a lift and high torque motor and controller for hilly areas and slight offroad use in the future. May as well upgrade now! Also, do I need to upgrade the smaller wiring on the cart??

Sincerely,
Rick Anderson

Should be just 3 more cables 1) B- (battery - to controller) 2) B+ battery to solenoid 24" 3) solenoid to controller. i dont think you need to upgrage the smaller wires.

Great! Got them already! I ordered extra cables when I bought the battery cables. I started installing them last night! Thanks for the information!

Now a new problem! As I was tightening the nuts on the wire connections on the drive motor itself, I heard a "snap"! The wire terminal on the motor (A2) turns freely. I'm sure this isn't one of those "everything will be alright" things! Before I reconnect the power to see if it works. . .I thought I would ask! Can this be repaired or will I have to purchase a new motor?

Sincerely,
Rick Anderson
