Just jump the big posts of the solenoid with a 6 guage wire, you can just hold it on there to see if the cart runs. Make sure you check both forward and reverse to see if it runs. Ran before but not after battery install, most of the time is installation error, or a non tightened up cable someplace.

I'll try bypassing the solenoid, and check the F/R switch again. It did run for a brief second after battery replacement, but quit after 1 sec. I'm thinking that it wasn't drawing a lot of amps. with the old batteries, and something melted or fried with the new ones. I have checked all the cables, cleaned them, made sure itt all in good condition but nothing. I will know more tonight. Thanks for the help!

Just got back from troubleshooting the cart. It turned out that it's not a G2 but a G8, which might change certain things. I'm wondering, how the motor gets the - lead to it, because the only - wire goes to the speed control module. I have looked and looked but have not found anything...except, that when the pedal is I can't find a - going to any of the motor posts.

ur contro;;er is fried, alot of the time on the older carts g2-g9, when the new batts are installed and you hit the gas, it will fry the controller, the good news is the controller is 170.00 rebiult, i use phils custom carts in ceder lake indiana,219-374-3455, but if the cart jumped and quit, its yr controller, verify ur wiring, fully charged they should be at 42vhit the gas and ck each batt individually

Does anyone have a pic of a 1985 G2e solenoid wiring they can share? Took off old solenoids to replace new and can't figure out how to hook solenoids back up. The wiring diagram in the manual not helpful. Thank you
