Re: What's the perfect cart to start with?
Rock, I bought my 97 TXT w/ 09 Trojans for $1000 and it was already lifted with 22" tires. Of course, I totally transformed it in to a range/hunting carting in 2 weeks and have about $1900 in it now.

Re: What's the perfect cart to start with?
Well, I hope I found the perfect cart today. It's a 2006 TXT. Got it for $1500. Looks and runs great. Probably have to put batteries in it within a year or so. They're 06 trojans. That'll be the perfect time to go to 48 volts!

Re: What's the perfect cart to start with?
Thanks Terry. I felt like it was a good deal; I had to jump on. The guy had it on cl for $1900, and he told me I could get it for $1650 when I called about it. He said another guy was supposed to show up tomorrow to buy it. So, I jumped in the truck, ran to the bank, withdrew $1500, and went to look at it. Those15 $100 bills took it after some minor coaxing, and I had inspected it forabout an hour. I am pretty excited about it; should I dare say even more excited than when I brought home my brand new st sport 2 a few years back? I can't wait for these batterries to give up. Are the t105s the best when going to 48, or should I really save up for the t145's?

Re: What's the perfect cart to start with?
It looks great
Um, you know with a little battery abuse those 2006 Trojans will last no time..... Start running them down too far and leave them sit in a state of discharge. They will be toast in no time, works for all the locals around here. OH. And don't check the water levels Another plan might be to sell the working pack on CL for $200.00 and put that toward the new batteries? |
