96 g14 Alignment
I just bought this cart a few days ago and it needs an alignment. What is the best way to do this? I have done a "string" alignment on my truck before, would this be good enough for the cart?
Thanks |

Re: 96 g14 Alignment
Make sure the steering-box is centered first by doing a full swing left to right and count the turns, turn it to half of the count(true-center).Don't worry about the steering-wheel,if its' off,you can remove it later and center it.Then pick a common spot on both front-tires in front and behind the axle(I like to spin the tire and hit it with a shot of white-paint,then spin it and scribe a line.)Firmly bounce the cart a few times to settle the suspension(very important, and always over-looked),measure at as close to spindle-height as possible, ahead and behind the axle.Try to get the front(ahead of axle) 0-1/8" Toe-In(narrower) than behind the axle.Watch your tires, and try to get them equally adjusted to retain center.Hope this helps.
