Question Need to lift the rear of G19

When the Trojans died in my 2002 G19 years ago I changed over to 8x 6 volt
batteries with 2 mounted on the back golf club bag platfrom area. This has
been working great but makes the front end light and bounces alot, I need to lift the rear only. Anyone got any ideas? DIY would be great sense I don't need a complete lift kit.

Some Yamaha "stretched" 4 and 6 passangers cars used 2" upper shock extensions. Basicly, a square tube that slides up into the upper shock mount and then another larger tube (large enough the shock can slip into and bolt up) welded to the smaller tube. Have my pair at the shop, but could take a picture if you'd like. The other option is Jakes hevey duty coil over kit. Good luck.

Thanks, I have never worked on golf cart supensions before, it looks like the
body would have to come off to reach the top shock mounting bolts. Is there
a easier way to reach the top bolts ?

There are 3 ways. Just depends if the Yamaha assemblers put the bolts in from the front or the back If they installed the bolts from front to back, you should be able to get them out thru the service panel. You could also take out the plastic inner rear fenders (just 2 -3/16 pop rivets), or take the body off. Hope that helped.
