Default 2007 g29 48v longer run time?

I have a 2007 g29 running 4 12v Trojan batteries, it has a 6" jakes lift and 23" tires with 12" wheels, I'm getting about 1hr 15-30min run time, is there a way to get longer run time out of it? I see alot of posts about getting more speed out of them, I assume that would decrease the run time? I am really considering taking it back and swapping to gas to longer run time, but they said it would be an additional $2700 to get into the 2009 gas one they have with the lift, wheels/tires, brush guard and flares like I have on this one. That is alot more than I thought since I have about $5000 into this one.

Also my bill of sale and the salesman told me it is a 2007 but the vin sticker says 2006, is that just the date of manufacture or is it truly a 2006 model?

Thanks in advance

You could go with 6-8 volt batteries or 8-6 volt batteries for longer run time, problem is your car really wasnt desighned for those configurations. Some here have said they can squeeze the 6 -8 volts in and hold them down correctly (was it GraigtN ?), you could also put a couple in the bag well ? Good luck and welcome to BGW

I could fab a rack but its doesn't seem cost effective by the time I bought the new batteries. What time of run time difference should I expect to get?
Also would I have to worry about overheating the motor or controller by extending the run time?

you might get another 45min-1hr of run time by using 6-8V batteries. You can do a conversion to 6-8V. I have done 2 carts this way.

if you have trojan 12V IMO they are JUNK. US battery has the leading 12V the last time I looked at the specs.

as far as overheating, nope. the controller and motor have "temp" sensors so this wont happen, if it gets into the overtemp phase, the cart will shut down.

Yeah the cart came with Trojans, I bought the cart used. If I would gain that much time by going to the 6 8s then that would be a nice benefit.

just remember the more lead you have the more run time you will get. so having 8-6v will get you more run time.

I have gotten NEW YAMAHA Drive carts with DEAD/BAD batteries in them. YES they were Trojans.
