age old question, new batteries. Trojan or US
My batts are getting long in the tooth especially after a Plum quick upgrade. Have new 2 gage connectors coming and thought it might be a good time to swap out batteries.
Hear so much about Trojan but at the same time the good noise on Us is growing. Was looking at the US 185HC XC any comments? |

Re: age old question, new batteries. Trojan or US
I have seen a couple US 12v fail at an early age lately (less than a year). But, those were 12v batts and all 12v suck in a golf cart IMO. I guess not really an "apples to apples" comparason. Both would be a better investment than cheapo sams club batts. Also take into consideration that the US battery likes a different charge profile than the Trojan, can your charger be reprogrammed/reset (only DPI and Delta-Q can as far as i know). All things considered, if you dont have a programmable charger, it might be best to stick with the brand batteries it originally came with.

Decided to go with the US 185 XC. Friend who has a friend that owns a local dealership just took them out of brand new ez go that is doing a conversion and is selling them for $100 each. Figured that's too good of a deal to pass up

Dont waste your money on that thunderbull, its chinese garbage. Just get a dpi for about the same money (good charger, and USA made).

Maybe someone else may be able to help me understand. But why wouldn't you be able to convert to 8volts, I did in my Drive?
