you get what you pay for. the cheap ones are just that. get a digital one that you can tune to any channel I have no problems with it and it keeps the battery charged

I haven't got to use it much but I bought a Pyle marine unit AM/FM/CD/MP3/USB Thumbdrive included, 4- 6 1/2 speakers flip up cover and remote for 89.00 shipped. As of now it works great and I put 140 songs on the thumb drive with room to spare.

Finished putting in the AUX port by attaching the wires (noted earlier in this thread) to the CD player. A bit tricky because the connections on the PC board are tiny and soldering to them is a challenge (see pic). Loaded up a bunch of songs on my iPhone and tried it out - works great!
Thanks to all who put this kind of information on the web. Now I'm thinking of adding a USB port to charge my iPhone.
