Default front suspension problem

The front tires on my 94 electric Yamaha cart are wearing really bad on inside edge and bottoms of tires are flared out quite a bit compared to the upper edge. over bumps it kind of clanks a little bit- bad shocks, bushings?? I am a slight novice and don't want to just take it to a dealer for a several 100 dollar fix... Thanks.

Jack up the front of the cart. Grab hold of the wheel and push in and pull out. That will show a bad bearing. Then try tipping the wheel,(push in at the top pull out at the bottom.). If there is play there the it's likely king pin bushings. Hope it
Points you in the right direction.

Worn King-Pin bushings are very common, along with worn out front shocks/coils.Both will cause the tires to tilt and wear(more so weak shocks/springs).Jack up the front-end,see if there is slop in the front spindles at the point where they pivot for the steering. If this is tight or slightly loose, more than likely its the springs that are weak. Its very common for Yamaha's to lean, but the entire front can eventually sag as wear progresses.Hope this helps.
