Default Battery Charger

Our 2008 YDRE works good if we charge the new batteries individually but if we charge them with the 48V Charger that came with the cart, error 1 and 2 light up on the charger and it runs for awhile and then it dies. When we test the batteries they're at 75%. When we switch it from run to tow and back to run it will go about a foot and die again until we charge the batteries individually with a battery charger.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks!

Those chargers crap out a lot. Be careful not to keep running it without charging it up. Continuously flipping that switch and riding it will just run your batteries into the ground. I would recommend getting a new "delta q" charger. You can even mount it on board

If the batteries are 2008 originals (5 or 6 years old) they may be nearing or at the end of their life. In addition to that, the QE chargers do tend to be troublesome as they age. If a new charger is in your future, DPI chargers come highly recommended here. Before you do anything, I would see if you can borrow a known good charger and give your batteries 2 or 3 full charges (charge till charger shuts off) in a row, then check total and individual battery voltages after a 12 hr rest to see how healthy they are. - Good luck - RAY

No "qe" on a yamaha (this aint no ezgo). Also, they said "new batts". The charger is made by moric (as is the motor controller). The moric charger has a reputation nearly as good as the "qe". Check your wires, test another charger on there, if you find the problem to be your charger, Get a DPI...
