Help!!!! need viper blue paint code
I've also posted this question over at another forum, but so far no answer.
I've scratched my golf cart and need the paint code for the electric blue body. It's called both electric blue and viper blue, seemingly interchangebly. I do have a paint pen (precision color) with the code 28432G15 (the 5 might be an S). I called a guy that does mobile scratch repair locally and he needs the paint code. I gave him what I had, but apparantly it's not what he needs. I'm assuming this color is really a standard automotive paint (presumably chrysler). Does anyone have the paint code for this? I just had the cart rebodied and of course that nasty scratch is all I see when I use my cart.... thanks jet |

Re: Help!!!! need viper blue paint code
go to a auto body paint store. they should be able to match that paint with no problem. take your cart or a part from your cart that is the color. they can scan the color. and match the color.

Re: Help!!!! need viper blue paint code
thanks for the reply. I don't think I explained this very well here, partly because I don't entirely understand my ownself. I called this guy that comes to you to do minor stratch repair on your car. Normally I'd just do it myself, but like I said, we just got the cart rebodied (less than a month) and it was so perfect...
anyway, even though I have the touch up paint, he wants the manufacturers paint code. since it's apparantly an automotive paint color, I guess he can plug the code into his software and get whatever info he needs from that.... So what he's looking for is the paint code that would be on your car's build tag. I think it might be PBE, but I was hoping someone might be able to confirm this for me many thanks |

Re: Help!!!! need viper blue paint code
Ya, I googled viper paint codes. that's where I got the PBE.
Normally, this guy's business is to come to the customer and fix paint/bumper scratches. He'd get the paint code off the build tag, and enter that into his software. I patiently explained to him that i had the touch up paint here. He still wants the paint code. Giving him the ez-go part number didn't help, as it apparantly wasn't in his database. I guess what I was looking for was confirmation that the electric/viper blue was indeed a xxxx year chrysler paint. I thought someone here might have the paint code as used in the automotive application. anyway, thanks for the suggestions jet |

Re: Help!!!! need viper blue paint code
I realize this one has been slow for a while but thought it might help others. I was told Textron and Chrysler were friendly so most of the paints for EZs were Chrysler colors.
