Every time I try to post, I get half way through and the screen flashes and it's gone. I'm still at BGW, just my post is gone! FUN!

Burnt Forward / Reverse wire FTW!!!!

The cart runs GREAT now!!!!

I just replaced the entire wire....however the 6 gauge that I bought
is much thicker than what I replaced.

Is that ok?

Where did you find a 6 gauge control wire on a Sunday?

Without knowing what you bought, it might just be thicker sheathing / covering. Run the cart and feel the wire compared to the others to see if it is hotter than the others...

I had Mrs. TFSole' pick one up from the lawn & garden dept at
Wal Mart for $4.

It was worth $4 for me not to have to buy an end, bare the wire and
crimp the old wire.

You are probably right about the thickness of the coating.

If my logic is correct, that wire will only deliver the load to the motor
that is delivered to it through the F/R switch.

Does that hold water?

That will be fine for a few days - An automotive cable is not the same as what is on a golf cart. Use what you have for the temporary fix, then get the correct replacement
