Yea, the dealer (also a friend of mine) said he was giving me a 90 dat warranty. I assume, since he says he checked the batteries before he sold it to me, that he is warranty-ing them as well.

Is that unreasonable?

WOW - I'll bet this "tests" the friendship! Maybe he'll hook you up with some better used batteries, because you definately have some issues with the ones you have...

When we sell a used cart with a warranty, we do not warranty batteries...

Crap! I was hoping you wouldn't say that. That just kinda sucks that he would sell me a cart that he knew I was going to have to spend more money on before I can even use it!

Let's not get to far ahead of ourselves here! Just call him up in the morning and let him know what's going on. The price you paid if very fair, even for a cart that you have to put batteries in...

alright, just talked to the dealer. he offered to pull some less-dead used batteries out of other carts for me, but it would take him a couple of weeks. i didn't really want to get a whole new set of bad/mismatched batteries, so i asked about buying some new ones from him.
long story longer, i bought a new off the pallet set of trojan t-105's for $400, and he said he would throw in some 4ga cables.
so, all-in-all now, i have 2150 in the cart and brand new batteries. still think i'm doing ok, but its getting hard to convince the gf of that!

Just tell her that you learned to spot a bargin from watching her go shopping all over town, and you couldn't pass the deal up. That will make it all good!!
