Help with an older EZ-Go
My friend has an older ez-go electric cart. It is lifted with a utility bed and used on a farm. Today the cart died while in motion. This cart has the manual f-n-r switch between the passengers under your knees. The actual switch has been problematic before and we suspect it is the problem again. It was slow and had very little power in reverse before it stopped running. I looked under the seat and see stock sized cables, what looks like the original solenoid and an alltrax controller (dirty, did not get the specs). When you hit the pedal the solenoid clicks, a green light on the controller lights up and the cart does not move. Can these switches be rebuilt or do I need to get a new one? Is there an easy test to confirm that is the problem? I have suggested 4ga wiring, a new or upgraded switch and would be grateful for any suggestions.
BTW: the cart is an ez-go mfg code #K199 serial number 1215xxx. It was purchased modified so we know very little history. Thanks in advance. |

yes, I can hear it click. Can it be jumped for testing? Anybody have a diagram so I can determine which two wires on the direction switch to jump for forward only? I would like to test the switch and get the cart back to the shed. |

Re: Help with an older EZ-Go
I have figured out it is a 1999 from poking around online. Don't know the series or model. Thanks for any help.

Re: Help with an older EZ-Go
We need info to help ... CC made a lot of different models? Is there a run/tow switch under the seat? Is the F&R switch a lever or a toggle?
