what volt lights/lite switch ect...Do I need
Just wanting to put some lights on my 94 ezgo to make it street legal. I can wire it all, but not sure if everything needs to be 36 volt or 12 volt with some kind of converter?

Re: what volt lights/lite switch ect...Do I need
You have several options to my understanding. 12VDC lighting system is easier to find & bulbs are cheaper also.
You can tap off two 6volt batteries to get 12VDC to the system. But when using the lights this will drain your run time. With a DC to DC converter it would be 36 to 12 & I had previously been advised to get one of atleast 25amps. They aren't cheap. Third option is to add a 12VDC battery just for those lights & accessories which can be charged with a regular auto battery charger. Just a matter of preference. Ross |

The DC converter is the best way, simply because it draws evenly from the whole battery pack (not just from this or that pair) and there is no extra battery to mount, maintain and recharge.....
When you add up the costs of a 12v battery, a hold down, & a charger it comes out about the same +/- |
