Solenoid wont "click"
I need some help with a diagnostic issue guys. I have an 05 TXT series cart that is all stock. I shorted two small wires behind the key switch by mistake, and now can't get the cart to run. I've replaced the burned wires and everything seems to be ok, but the solenoid will no longer engage. I've replaced the original solenoid, thinking it was defective. still no luck. I've done the diagnostic testing from the "sticky" post! With a jumper installed from B+ to the positive on the solenoid, it clicks and the cart operates as it should, with all voltages reading what the sticky post said they should. However, with the jumper removed, the solenoid never activates.
It appears that the ITS is working, cause the voltages change as the throttle pedal is depressed. With the key on and the F/R in forward, there is battery voltage at the positive side of the drive selector switches. Any ideas where my power loss is? It seems to be somewhere between the F/R selector switches and the solenoid, but I don't know what else to check. Thank you for any help you guys can offer. |
