Default 2004 club car electric

this is an IQ cart and runs great and then will just stop you can here solinoid click but wont go let sit for 1/2 hr and off it runs for a while again maybe rest of day sometimes for 15 mins any ideas to help me check some things also can i by a programer to speed cart up thanks Woody

possible controller going into thermal overload, or speed sensor going bad? when its running is speed and power ok?.................................

Yes speed is fine cart runs about 18 mph on a gps don twant to just replace parts but this is fustrating thanks for any help Woody

If your cart is doing 18mph, the controller is probably already programmed for Speed Code 4, which is top speed . . .

See shadowman's post, above . . . when cart stops running, check controller and solenoid for heat . . . as for speed sensor, not sure if that would stop cart in it's tracks . . bad speed sensor would probably put controller in "limp home" mode of about 8mph . . .

the thing is after it sits for a bit then it runs ok .......its hard to test that but it sure sounds like thermal overload........would be easier if it acted up and gave you something to check but yes when it quits feel it to see how hot it is.............................................

When running speed and power fine going to try solinoid what about pedal bor under floor board i know micro swt ok
