Default Bearing removal from axle housing

Evening folks,
New to the forum. I did a search and found a lot of answers for removing bearings that are intact. Mine, in fact were burnt very bad. Now I got the inner ring off the axle, but can't get the outer ring from the axle housing. I tried drilling a hole to make it weak enough to crack it and pry it out, but the drill bit would not penetrate the steel. It's not big enough to get a cutting disk in there. I'm trying to do this without heat as not to wreck the seal.
Any ideas?

If you can't grab it with a slide-hammer,either pull the opposite axle and try to drive it out with a long bar,or Carefully slit the race with a torch in to 2 halves and pop it with a lady-slipper(sometimes 1 slit will work).

I was thinking a plazma cutter, but I can't get a new seal for 4 days, so I was trying to do it without heat if I could.
I'll see about the slidehammer and go from there.

Torch is actually better, since you can control the heat, get it melting, slowly blow into it,then back off.Watch out for Oil-Flash!

Out of acetylene at the moment. But that makes sense.
If the slidehammer doesn't work, will have to resort to the torches I suppose.

You can try driving it in to the axle tube before pulling it. This will sometimes break the bond and allow the puller to work easier!
