Re: G-9 vs G-14
I am pretty sure the g9 has a 285cc engine and the g14 has a 300cc. there is a sticky at the top of this forum called Yamaha time line that will shed some light on minor differences.

Re: G-9 vs G-14
I prefer the G9 over a G14: because of frame design. Rides much better. If you prefer the body style of the G14, I'd go with a G16. Much more powerful engine.

Re: G-9 vs G-14
It seemed like my G-9 had more power than the g-14 and it for sure rode better I thought. I may just keep my G-9 the only reason I was going ot trade was the g-14 had a jakes lift on it and a Roof. I cant seem to find a used roof for my g-9 . Its not a big deal if it rains I can go in the camper lol. Thanks for the advise on this.

Re: G-9 vs G-14
Only the 357cc yamaha in the newer carts actually has more power, or enough to tell the difference the rest are very similar. The older carts like G2 have more compression, that is why the newer ones are little larger to make up for it. Newer carts have different body, G1/2/9 have swingarm rear they do not articulate, they are more stable but don't ride as well offroad. Newer models do and will lean in corners much more.
