Default Tool for cutting out speaker holes in body?

Hey guys. I am starting my first radio speaker install this weekend in my txt ezgo and I was just curious what different tools everyone used to cut the speaker holes out of the body. Plan on installing the speakers on the body under the seat. Thanks!

I installed speakers in the front of the body just under the seat as well as in the bagwell. I used a Dremel. My Dremel has a circle cutting tool. Just drill a center hole and the rest is a breeze! I masked the work area off with blue painters take to keep the circle tool from dragging on the paint and leaving marks. The Dremel really was money well spent for work like this!

For cutting plastics, I like to use my Bosch 1587VS variable speed jigsaw, with T101AO blades - nice and thin for turning on a dime. The trick is to use a slow enough speed to prevent melting. Also you can play with the orbit settings and start off inside the area you need to cut, if it's a new or unknown material. The blue tape mentioned above is also a must.

Sometimes it's cheaper to use what you already have on hand. If you are talking about the body, and not the dash, you may could get away with using a router with a circle cutting adapter. I've done this on a slab of PVC.

Speakers are fairly forgiving, as most I've seen have a 1/4 - 1/2" overlap.

Thanks for the replies guys. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a specific tool I needed. Glad to know I can use what I have on hand!

I used one of those oscillating blade tools, think they call it a multi-tool. Be sure that the speakers go in with metal "c" clips and not just screwed into the plastic.
