Is it worth buying
I'm a Yamaha guy but I can pick this thing up for $100-$150 (he's asking $150 but that should be negotiable). He said it ran before but didn't every cart. Anyway I see the comet clutch so that to me is worth the $100 but are parts for these things still available? He told me that it needs brake work and the throttle to be fixed. I'm thinking about buying it and parting it out but I like to tinker with sh17 so I might want to make it work instead. Any input on this thing? Is it 2 stroke or 4 stroke? These are the 2 pics the guy sent me. Anybody need parts?

Re: Is it worth buying
That is a 3pg 2 stroke late 80s early 90s.
The more powerful of ezgo's two strokes That seems like a good price for a project but not a candidate for the vanny you picked up in the other thread Unless you swap out the rear end |

Re: Is it worth buying
Thanks Skoal. Believe it or not I wasn't even thinking about putting that v twin on this cart. I was really thinking about just making this one run and sell it. But I don't know if it's worth it. It looks like it's mostly there although I don't see a carburetor or an air box. I have a buddy who wants to get into it. It might be perfect for him. I don't know a thing about these carts.

For a hundred bucks I'd say you'd be doing pretty good, fix it up and flip it to your buddy.

Re: Is it worth buying
You can find a carb on flea bay for prob 30$
And find an air box on here from someone If not I may have one laying around Should Check the compression first and see if it's time for a rebuild Not sure but it should still run with 80 psi Rebuilt should have 110 120 psi |

Re: Is it worth buying
Guy said it's an 88. When i search throttle cables on ebay i get ones for 76-87 and 89-whatever but the 88 cable is all by itself. Was 1988 ezgo some sort bastardyear?

Re: Is it worth buying
That's not an 88. It is 89 or newer. If the muffler is in good shape, it's worth at least $100 all by itself.

I think that plywood backrest is worth the money itself. What are you waiting for :)

Really? The muffler is worth $100 if it's in good shape. Wow. I was really eyeing up the comet ribbed clutch.
